dos2unix software package provides convert text file line endings between CRLF and LF, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dos2unix
dos2unix is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dos2unix package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dos2unix *
You will get with dos2unix package name, version, architecture and description in a table
